90 Peshawar Sikh pilgrims reach Punjab to visit historic gurdwaras

AMRITSAR: A jatha of 90 Sikh pilgrims hailing from Peshawar city of Pakistan on Monday crossed over to Punjab through Wagah border to visit various historic gurdwaras in Punjab and other states of Indian Union.

Apart from visiting Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, the jatha members will also visit Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib, Takht Patna Sahib and various gurdwaras of Delhi on their 25-day pilgrimage.

To welcome and receive from the border, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami sent a team of its officials. The SGPC has made arrangements for their accommodation, langar and transportation.
