GURDASPUR: Two men who call themselves as “Pastors” have been booked for alleged forced conversion of a Sikh family to Christianity in Kalanaur town of Gurdaspur district.
A case was registered against Balkar Masih, resident of Nabir Pur of Gurdaspur district and Jagtar Singh, resident of Gurdaspur town under section 295-A (hurting religious sentiments) of IPC in Kalanaur Police station.
A resident of village Adliwal near Rajasansi of Amritsar district, Upkar Singh said he along with his family worked at Poultry Farm in Kalanaur. He said that both these people used to approach me and insist that I come to Church. They also asked me to discard SIkh faith and embrace Chrisitianity. On Sunday evening, they again visited me and tried to force me to embrace Christianity”.
After being informed, members of the Sikh organizations gathered there and they took both the “pastors” to the Police which took action against both by arresting them.
